New Hampshire Here I Come!

I am deeply honored to be one of three writers selected by teachers, librarians and readers from the State of New Hampshire as a finalist in the FICTION category of the 2023 New Hampshire Literary Award.

The White Mountains of New Hampshire are dear to my heart, the home of my imagination. My grandparents first came to the White Mountains after World War II, settling in with a group of European ex-pats in a ski community on Cannon Mountain called Mittersill. They later purchased a farm and eventually their own daughter and son-in-law (my parents) would own a beautiful house in Sugar Hill where so much of my childhood and early adult life was spent.

A coming-of-age story, a mystery, and an exploration of how one person can open your eyes, break your heart and remain your true North Star, ALL THE FLOWERS OF THE MOUNTAIN (Sunroom Studios) was inspired by the magic and beauty of New Hampshire.

My husband and I will be flying to New Hampshire from Colorado for the Awards Ceremony on Saturday October 21. I am nervous … but also so grateful to be among this group of awesome writers.
