Table for One ~ Stories

My new collection of short stories, TABLE FOR ONE, was released this week by Sunroom Studios.

In the spring of 2022, with a dear group of friends, I scrambled to get ALL THE FLOWERS OF THE MOUNTAIN out into the world after receiving a diagnosis of a serious illness. I am so grateful to everyone who went out and bought a copy or two, hosted book signings or reading groups, and cheered me on.

As some of you may know, ALL THE FLOWERS OF THE MOUNTAIN has now won a Colorado Book Award and an IPPY Award.

Last summer I began to try to organize a group of stories I’d written over the years into a single collection, something that would feel like a whole. The same wonderful group of publishing hotshots (also known as “the band”) helped me get my novel produced in record time, including local publisher Sunroom Studios.

“Table for One” is a reference to the way in which many women like myself, who came of age at the end of the twentieth century, often moved through the world: solo. There was freedom and independence in the choices we made–about love, about work–but loneliness, too, and uncertainty about the trade-offs.

Here are heroines who are vulnerable, fierce, and foolhardy–often in equal measure.

I hope you will consider ordering a copy through your bookstore or favorite online outlet, such as Amazon.com or Bookshop.org.

With love and gratitude ~ Christina
